Lexbury Liberty Investments · Arizona
When it's time to move on, you shouldn't have to wait two years to find out what your business is worth. Lexbury Liberty acquires businesses directly from the owners who built them — with certainty, speed, and a straight deal.
Private · No obligation · No one calls unless you ask.
Life doesn't wait for the “perfect time” to sell.
Most owners don't sell because it's textbook-ideal. They sell because something changed.
Acquisition Criteria
We're looking for established Arizona businesses with real earnings and real teams. You don't need to be perfect — you need to be ready. If your business is generating revenue and you need to move, we want to talk.
Businesses with demonstrated earning power. We're not looking for startups — we buy successful, longstanding operating businesses.
Meaningful operations and management in Arizona. We invest where we live — markets we understand, relationships we can build, owners we can sit across the table from.
Proven customer bases with staying power through economic cycles. Not a turnaround play — we buy businesses that are already working.
Businesses that can operate if the owner steps back. The less owner-dependent the business, the faster we can close and the better the deal we can offer.
They don't need to be perfect, but we need to see the picture. We'll work with what you have — we've seen everything from pristine financials to a shoebox of receipts.
Health, burnout, retirement, a partnership that's run its course, or something else entirely — if you've made the decision to move on, we respect that and we move fast.
How It Works
No listing. No prep. No dressing it up. You sell it as it is, quietly, on your timeline.
A relaxed, confidential call. You walk us through the business, and we tell you honestly what we see. No obligation, and it stays private.
We meet in person and tour the operation, discreetly. As far as your team knows, we're a prospective client, a supplier, or an advisor. No one learns you're selling until you choose to tell them.
You share the financials, operations and legal details, privately and under NDA, so we can prepare your valuation and offer. Diligence stays in-house. No outside parties poking around.
Based on the full picture, we make you a fair, straightforward offer, direct from the buyer. It often includes some seller financing to help it close.
Based on the agreed deal, your legal counsel and ours finalize the purchase and sale agreement.
Papers and terms arranged, and you're out. Quietly, and in less than six months.
The ten reasons owners actually sell, and what waiting costs when one of them is yours. Worked numbers on the fees, the real length of the process, and the odds a sale closes at all. Written for Arizona, with Arizona's figures. 128 pages, by Mike Cook and Colton Zirk.
Not a broker
Most “sell your business” offers in Arizona come from brokers who list you and wait. We're the buyer.
Our Focus
Arizona is one of the fastest-growing states in the country, and a great many of the businesses that grew with it are owned by people now approaching retirement. We are not here by accident. This is where we live, where our network is, and where we understand what a business is actually worth.
Sustained population and business in-migration into the Phoenix and Tucson corridors has built a deep base of established service, trade and industrial companies with durable local demand.
Arizona businesses tend to be built the hard way, by the person still running them. That produces lean operations, low bureaucracy and honest margins — exactly what we look for.
A large wave of small and mid-sized business owners is reaching retirement with no succession plan in place. We offer a direct, fair path out — without a broker or an auction.
About Lexbury Liberty
Lexbury Liberty is run by Colton Zirk, from Arizona. When you call, you reach the person who will actually be buying your business — not an analyst in another state, and not an associate who has to take it back to a committee.
He has also been on your side of this table. Colton co-owned and operated Jet Pet Resort in Phoenix, grew it, and sold it to a private equity-backed platform. He knows what the months leading up to a sale feel like, because he has lived them.
After that sale he joined the acquirer's M&A team, sourcing, evaluating and integrating further acquisitions, and advised privately held businesses through acquisitions and ownership transitions — so he has seen the same transaction from the buyer's side as well. Today he leads a regional business unit across the Southwest, running sales and operations. He holds a degree from Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business, and is based in Phoenix.
That matters more than it sounds. Selling a business is not an anonymous transaction. You will hand over something you spent years building, to someone who will keep employing the people you hired. Most owners want to look that person in the eye first, and here you can — over coffee, in your own town, before you commit to anything.
Being local also changes what we can see. We know the trades, the service businesses and the industrial operators around the Valley, we know what the good ones look like, and we can visit the shop rather than reading about it in a data room. That is why we can give you a straight answer in weeks instead of asking for another quarter of financials.
Most buyers want a perfect business at a discount price. They want eighteen months of due diligence, an investment banker in the middle, and a process built for their convenience rather than yours. That is fine if you have the time. If you don't, those buyers are not going to help you.
Lexbury Liberty is built for the other situation — where you need to exit because of health, burnout, a partnership that has fallen apart, or a retirement that cannot wait any longer. We don't pretend to offer top-of-market pricing, because that takes time you may not have. What we offer instead is speed, certainty and a deal that closes: no broker fees on your side, and no surprises in the eleventh hour.

Our Approach
What you get when you sell to us — and why it matters when time is not on your side.
We don't need six months of due diligence. If the numbers are real, we move. Most deals close two to three months from the first conversation.
We'll tell you what we can pay and why. No anchoring games, no lowball followed by a re-trade at the finish line. The number we offer is the number we mean.
No broker, no investment banker, no fees on your side. One buyer, one conversation. That saves time, protects confidentiality, and lowers the cost to you.
We keep teams intact. Your employees' jobs matter to us — that is not a talking point, it is how we operate every business we own.
Your customers, suppliers and staff won't know you're selling unless you tell them. We protect your reputation and your relationships throughout.
The Lexbury team has reviewed more than 800 businesses. We know what it takes to build one. Every conversation starts from respect — for your time, your legacy, and the decision you have made.
With every successful business we've encountered or invested in, we've noticed that the philosophy of the Golden Rule permeated the organization — treating people the way you want to be treated. Whether through an owner asking an employee about a personal matter, or a receptionist who genuinely cares about a guest's needs. Care, respect, and empathy cannot be faked.
This is the foundation of the Lexbury investment philosophy.
For Accredited Investors
Small and mid-sized businesses employ roughly half the private workforce in the United States. It remains one of the hardest segments for outside capital to reach, because the deals are small, local, and rarely brokered.
Lexbury Liberty offers accredited investors a disciplined route into that market: acquisition-oriented transactions sourced directly in Arizona, with real diligence, aligned incentives, and a long-term hold.
We work with a small group of accredited investors who share our view on patient capital, direct ownership, and long-term value. If you would like to hear about current opportunities, reach out directly.
Initial conversations are confidential and carry no obligation. We'll walk you through our approach, the current pipeline, and how a partnership would be structured.

Lexbury Liberty is new in Arizona, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. What stands behind it is not new: the same people, the same assessment method, the same expertise and same capital that has been buying businesses in Canada for two decades.
The parent firm, based in Calgary, Alberta. Founded by Mike Cook, who has spent more than twenty years reviewing, acquiring and operating private businesses — over 800 reviewed and more than $250 million invested. Lexbury Liberty runs the same playbook in Arizona.
lexbury.com →Every business we look at is scored the same way, across financial performance, business fundamentals, exit factors, management and market position. It is the method the group has refined over hundreds of businesses, and it is why we can give you a straight answer quickly instead of asking for another quarter of data.
Our programme for owners who need to move now. Same idea on both sides of the border: a fast, direct, confidential purchase for owners whose circumstances do not allow for a two-year sale process.
We are not a fund with a clock on it. There is no five-year window forcing a sale of your business to the next owner, and no plan to strip it for parts. We buy businesses to keep them, which is why the team you leave behind matters as much to us as the numbers.
I've talked to hundreds of business owners who waited too long for the perfect exit that never came. Sometimes the best deal is the one that gets done — on your timeline, not the market's.
Ready to be done?
Seven questions, two minutes, completely private. You'll see straight away whether a Quick Exit fits your situation — and we'll be honest about the trade-offs if it doesn't.
